Group Modeling Project

Project Overview

For this project we were tasked with designing something in the renewable energy field. My group decided that we wanted to make a hydroelectric generator that could be placed in rivers to generate electricity for towns in third world countries, something that could be used to power water purifications systems or whatever else is needed to improve their living circumstances.

The first thing we had to do for this project was make a sturdy design that would aid in the generation of electricity via a small turbine seated withing the hydro-mill we sketched out what we thought it should look like below.

Moving forward we designed based off of our sketches using NX we made some minor modifications throughout the process to make it more practical to manufacture as well as to seat the electronics.
